I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
